Welcome to an exciting journey into medical knowledge, guided by clear and accessible language, with the destination being evidence-based and scientific medical information.
If you have reached this website, it is likely because a health problem concerns you, or one of your loved ones is going through a difficult time — most probably in the field of Oncology — and you are seeking information and guidance. Undoubtedly, the fastest, yet unfortunately the least reliable, source of information on matters of medical science is the internet.
I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart as a small token of gratitude for what you have offered me.
I was truly lucky to have had you by my side because according to what I saw and experienced during my treatment and my subsequent visits to the hospital, your behaviour was exemplary, your concern was touching and your instructions were rich, detailed, understandable, accurate and decisive.
Doctors are little ..... "Gods" and "thank you" is the least one can say ...
Health, Peace, Love, Happiness.
Let your wishes .... come true!
Happy 2023!
With great appreciation,

The "unexpected" - as if people weren’t vulnerable - diagnosis of pneumonia/pneumonic embolism and my insecurity of being hospitalized due to the fear of in-hospital infections was followed by the embrace of the 3rd University Pathology Clinic. My beloved doctor Ekaterini Syriou made sure that the bureaucratic admission procedures became silky smooth and then solved my own questions on bronchial asthma issues that she attends me for, by masterfully interposing therapeutic imperatives and positive outlook messages. The courteous and well-known for their scholarship, Ms. Garifalia Poulakou and Ms. Maria Kopelia invested time and inclination for the necessary control and care in collaboration with deserving younger doctors, several of which were our former students at the University of Athens, such as Mrs. Georgia Gomatou, but also the excellent Mrs. Vasiliki Hadjistamatiou. They did not lack the smile of optimism, even when they informed about more disturbing aspects. They were objective in my medical matter even though I might try to forget-they may not have forgotten me-the Covid adventure on this New Year's Day and its and its long-term complications.
As, impatiently on my part, the day of exit looms, I feel immensely grateful, I want to express infinite thanks and the warmest congratulations for the operation of the
Clinic under the discreet and untiring eye of the Director. The ideal environment and the confidence that all patients are being monitored and cared for with the application of most modern medical knowledge, despite the dire times for the public health care system the in recent years, make it a model for inpatient care.

Doctor,
The reason I am writing to you is the need I felt to express my gratitude to someone responsible for my recent hospitalization. I would therefore like to publicly thank, through your person, the entire staff of the "Sotiria" hospital, not only for everything they did for me (and all the other patients I know) within the scope of their duties, but for the many more they did, as well as for their HUMANITY.
With their scientific training, their patience, their kindness, and most of all their smiles at the difficult times, they were able to turn a nightmare, into a bad dream, that has gone away.
I will not go into details but you have a wonderful human resource, which, under your guidance, works like a well-oiled machine.
Though not enjoying the best logistical infrastructure, they proved that when man wants, he can achieve anything.

Professor,
I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your unstinting contribution to help me overcome this great ordeal.
Your concern, your attitude and the generous help you offered me has deeply marked my soul.
The treatment you recommended and applied paved the way for the effective confrontation of my illness.
Without your scientific and human support I would not have made it.
May this Christmas bring back the smiles on people's lips, warm their broken hearts and give those who are struggling the life they deserve.
You are a wonderful person. May the spirit of Christmas give you the gift of health, happiness, joy and beautiful memories of this holiday season.
Happy New Year.
Thank you so much for everything!
With Special Regards,

"Dear Mr Syrigos, since the day we met at your clinic, I am searching for the words to thank you once again, without repeating myself and exaggerating.
I still exist, breathe, eat, offer to my people, love, laugh, see the Acropolis.
And you have contributed greatly to that.”

First of all, I would like to express once again my gratitude and trust in each of your choices, both to you - and to your excellent team - for what you are doing for my mother and for all your patients in general, "fighting" the most difficult "enemy".
You and your team (as I mentioned above) have contributed - along with the strength and the "will" for life of my mother - to the fact that we are already in our 3rd year of the disease, in a 100-meter marathon! For all this and for much more that you have offered - and still have to offer - to medicine, the least I can say is thank you, from the bottom of my heart - and that I am by your side, as well as my mother, in every choice and wish in the treatment of her illness.
Professor, the reason for this particular message is the recent month-long treatment of my uncle Theodorakopoulos Konstantinos at the Oncology Clinic of which you are the chief. I would like to use this message to congratulate you for the role model you have instilled in two excellent colleagues, Mrs Kelidi and Mr Evangelou. Mrs Kelidi, despite her young age, manages to combine humanism with scientific competence. Always in a good mood and with innate kindness, she knows how to stand with an appropriate attitude next to the special position in which oncology patients find themselves without this depriving her of the ability to set boundaries where necessary. And she has a unique ability to cover any scientific question in a comprehensible way, creating a sense of security for the patient and his/her environment. Mr Evangelou was the right person to brief both myself and my uncle's immediate family during our last visit to the clinic. Even though my uncle was not his patient, he made sure that he effortlessly gave us plenty of his valuable time and made the transition of the patient and his entourage towards death as smooth as possible. He is a person possessed of experience, wit and empathy, as even before questions arose he had covered them in the most comprehensible manner. Congratulations again to both of you for contributing to their excellent holistic medical approach.
With honor,

May I ask you to please pass on my thanks and congratulations to Mrs. Poulakou and Mrs. Kakalou, Mrs. Gomatou, Mrs. Athanasiou, Mrs. Kolonia and the nurses: Ioannis, Anastasia, Ioannis, Anthi, Alexandra, Maria, Areti, Amalia, Myroforia, Angeliki, Thomai. "I feel the need to thank all of you who offered the greatest help to both me and my wife. We spent four and a half years together and you were there to inform us, guide us, look for a solution to all our problems and ease our mental pain at all times, either by phone or in person. You stood by us with humanity and understanding at the difficult time of our lives and offered us, in the twilight of our lives, four and a half painless years."

"Five years have passed since I met Professor of Pathology & Oncology, Mr. Konstantinos Syrigos. Five years full of anxiety and fear. Today, however, with the proper handling of both the Professor and my Pulmonologist, I can consider the future with optimism. I thank them and may God be with them so as with their excellent training to continue this ministry of offering smiles to our fellow human beings."

Dear Professor,
With this message I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your contribution in dealing with the serious health issue of my father, Georgios Giannitsiotis, who passed away on September 30th in the 3rd Pathology Clinic of Sotiria Hospital, where he was hospitalized for about 30 days.
The medical staff of the above clinic showed professionalism and human behaviour during this difficult period that both my father and the rest of our family went through. In particular, and on behalf of both my mother and my brother, we would like to express our gratitude to the attending physicians Mrs. Frantzeskakis and Mr. Maravitsas, who approached our problem with undivided support, consistency and a high sense of responsibility, giving us strength and courage. In addition, we would like to thank the Matron, the nursing staff and the table staff who contributed to the daily comprehensive care of my father.
Finally, we could not fail to mention the contribution of the team of doctors and administrative staff of the Medical Center of Maroussi, who in the last two years have stood by our side with kindness and directness in our demanding daily life.
Professor, we express our sincere thanks for your invaluable contribution and we wish you good health so that you can continue your important work in treating this disease and relieving the suffering of those who experience it.
Yours sincerely,

From the bottom of our hearts as a family, we want to express to each of you individually our gratitude, along with our thanks for the excellent scientific, but much more human treatment, throughout the hospitalization of our child, Konstantinos.
The doctors were always willing to explain to us by telephone the situation of the child, despite the workload. Chief Nurse Giannis, whom we ask to forgive us we do not recall his surname, so human and reassuring to the anxieties of a mother whose child is hospitalized.
May God give you health and courage to your work!!!!!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
